You are talking to an AI
Version ai-disclosure-1.1.0 · in force from 18 September 2026
Course++ is an AI tool. Everything it writes is generated by an AI model, not by a person.
We say this in three places: here, on a label that stays visible while you use the product, and in a direct answer if you ask.
01
What we use
One of three models, by tier — see subprocessors for the full, current list and what each company that can run one says about your data.
| Models | GLM 5.3 Flash, Gemini 3.5 Flash Lite, or Claude Haiku 4.5, depending on the tier selected |
| Reached through | OpenRouter, which forwards to whichever company actually runs that model |
| Trained on your content? | No — for every model, every company |
| Stored by the model provider? | No |
| Stored by us? | No — held in memory for one request |
02
What this means for you in practice
AI output can be confidently wrong. It will invent a plausible fact, miscount, or misunderstand what you asked for. Course++ re-reads what it wrote and shows you what changed, which catches a good deal — but it does not catch everything, and it cannot tell you whether the content is good.
Check it before students see it. You are the author of record for your course. Course++ is a drafting tool, not a colleague you can delegate to.
It does not judge student work. Course++ builds course content. It cannot read student submissions at all — see What Course++ can and can't see.
03
If your institution requires AI disclosure
A growing number of institutions ask instructors to say when course material was produced with AI assistance. Course++ can add a short note to the content it generates — look for the setting in Settings.
Whether you need it is between you and your institution. We provide the option; we do not decide for you.
04
Ask us directly
Ask Course++ whether it is an AI at any time and it will tell you plainly. That answer is hard-coded — it is not generated, so it cannot be talked out of it.
